“Every postpartum mother deserves rest, nourishment, and loving care.”

- Shelley Rahim

The early weeks and months after birth are sacred—a time for rest, healing, and gentle care.

The birth process taps into a mother’s deepest strength and requires every bit of her energy.

After the intense journey of bringing new life into the world, a mother’s body and soul crave rest and restoration.

For centuries, cultures around the world have recognized the importance of postpartum care, understanding that this time lays the foundation for the rest of a mother’s life. It is essential to slow down, to rest in the warmth of support, and to embrace this time of rejuvenation.

At Deep Roots Doula Care, we believe one of the most nourishing elements of postpartum care is a diet rich in warming, restorative foods and herbs, designed to support your body’s healing journey.

Hello, I’m Skylar.

My feminine approach to postpartum care allows space, healing, and intuition to flourish. The early weeks after birth are about slowing down and replenishing our vitality. Even though we know we can do it all (mothers are badasses), we also know that asking for help has lasting implications on our health & foundation as mothers.

Childbirth is only the beginning.

“Skylar’s warm, nourishing meals felt like a hug inside out as did the spiritual and emotional care she provided. She cried with me during the tough times and genuinely, emphatically celebrated our wins with us just as much. Her attention to whole body and soul wellness made all the difference for my postpartum healing and rebuilding.”
